These exquisite, perfectly-scaled, durable Hydro-Calcite reproductions of ancient Maya carvings are hand cast from molds of hand-carved limestone reproductions created by modern Maya artists in the Chiapas highland rain-forests in Palenque, Mexico. Each highly accurate piece comes with a descriptive card and is suitable for display on walls, tables, stands or gardens (indoor/outdoor finish). Included at no charge is a wall hanger and display stand.
History: This recently discovered relief depicts the retirement celebration of King Pacal's military chief. He is shown with his parents, who must have been of royal blood as they are presenting him with with important emblems of social status. He is seated on a throne of human captives, a symbol of his great success as a warrior.
